Serenity on Plover is the guest-house trading brand of Serenity Guest House on Plover (Pty) Ltd, registration 2025/223972/07, at 6A Plover Road, Heatherlands, George, Western Cape, South Africa. This notice covers website enquiries and related guest communications. For information about processing during a stay, please contact the manager.
Privacy enquiries

Information used for an enquiry
- Your name and email address; an optional telephone number; arrival and departure dates; number of adults; suite preference; and any message you choose to provide.
- The form composes a message in your browser. It does not submit the enquiry to this website server or a CRM. Selecting WhatsApp or email opens the chosen service/application; you still need to send the message. Opening a third-party link can disclose information to that service before you press Send.
- Please do not enter card details, identity documents, passwords or medical information in the enquiry form. Discuss necessary dietary or accessibility arrangements directly with the manager and share only what is needed.
Website delivery and diagnostic information
The website code sets no cookies and uses no localStorage, sessionStorage, advertising pixels or analytics SDKs. Hosting infrastructure handles connection and request data to serve pages and may use diagnostic logs for operation and security. Why information is processed
Enquiry details are used to respond to the accommodation request and take requested steps towards a possible booking. Further processing must have an applicable justification, such as contractual necessity, a legal obligation, an appropriately assessed legitimate interest, or consent where required. A website visit or enquiry is not blanket consent for other processing.
Bookings and payments
This website does not take payments, offer account registration or confirm reservations. The manager will explain any additional guest information and applicable payment arrangements when preparing a booking. A booking engine and CRM are not connected to this website.
Recipients and external services
If you choose WhatsApp, Meta/WhatsApp handles information under its own terms; email involves your email application and the receiving mailbox provider. Website hosting and business email providers process information needed to deliver those services. Google Maps, social platforms and linked operators receive information when you open their sites. There are no embedded maps, social feeds or third-party scripts here. Contact the Information Officer for information about service providers relevant to your request.
International processing
Email and external communication providers may process information outside South Africa. Please contact the Information Officer for information about the providers relevant to your enquiry. Any international transfer for which the guest house is responsible must meet applicable POPIA requirements.
Retention and security
Information is retained only as long as needed for the enquiry, applicable booking, legal obligations or a justified dispute, then securely deleted or de-identified where appropriate. Ask the Information Officer about the retention period applicable to a particular record. Access is limited to authorised people using appropriate safeguards. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You may contact enquiries@serenityguesthouse.co.za to request access, correction or deletion where applicable, object to processing, or withdraw consent for processing that relies on consent. Rights may be subject to lawful limitations and appropriate identity verification. Do not send an identity document unless a necessary, proportionate verification method has been agreed. Marketing
There is no newsletter or automated marketing subscription on this site. Sending an accommodation enquiry does not subscribe you. Any future email or WhatsApp marketing must use its own lawful process, with required consent or another applicable statutory basis and a clear opt-out.
Property operations and CCTV
This website notice does not replace notices about on-site processing, cameras or guest registration records. Please contact the manager before your stay for information about any on-site records, camera notices, access and retention relevant to your visit.

The revision date is shown on this page. Changes will describe the processing actually in use. Publishing an update does not itself obtain consent or retrospectively change existing bookings.
